Altered Book first pages
I‘m still here, just haven’t had a chance to post lately. Here is the first spread in an altered book I have begun working on. I preserved select words on the page to make my own “found poetry.” The preserved text reads, “I stepped back through the gate and into the sun. So cold and pale, like a frozen stone. My grief was not forgotten BUT my pain was knowledge and I could bear it.” The little vellum tag says, “Write your hurts in the sand but carve your blessings in stone.”

The background is colored pencil and acrylic paint.
