Charming Junk for Mixed Media Monday

The theme for Mixed Media Monday is Charming Junk, recycling, repurposing, reusing. I made this bowl out of folded magazine pages. I followed this tutorial from A Little Hut except I finished off the top edge by adding strips across the top with half the strip to the inside and half to the outside. It is surprisingly heavy and sturdy. I think I’m going to let my hubby use it to throw his remote controls in. Looks like I have a few hot glue strings to pull off. I like looking down into the center. It’s kind of hypnotic! I just wish I could take a decent photo.

Wow, what a wonderful idea! Very clever! Diane
Absolutely brilliant creation, what a wonderful reuse for magazine pages too = beautiful!!!
I love it! Great job. We use ours to throw in our keys and such. Thank you for sharing this with me.
Your bowl is really wonderful, what a great idea to reuse magazine on.
Really neat. Hmmm, maybe that’s what I should do with some of my magazines after I’ve taken what I can for collage. Better Homes and Gardens can start being useful!
Do you really like the Milliande Creativity Club? The site looks intimidating but interesting.
I love this bowl. What a fantastic idea.
Cool! That’s awesome. I love it.
