New pages

Yesterday’s and Today’s page. I drew the bird and used watercolor crayons to color him, trying to make him look like the bird in the magazine clipping. On today’s page, I did something I haven’t done in a while. I ripped a section of the image away, and drew it back in. If you enlarge the image, you can see where I ripped away the girl’s midsection and redrew it with colored pencils. I also ripped off her head and gave her a new one. I’m not crazy about the head, but oh well. This paper doesn’t take the pencils very well, so I coated it in gesso, first. That makes it a little too rough for getting details, though.

Both of these pages are super. You did a great job on copying the bird and drawing in the face and arms of the lady. Love all your doodles too.
